The Children’s Book Council of Australia is

celebrating Book Week from August 20th  to August 24th. Ivanhoe Primary School will be celebrating in the following ways. 

•        On Wednesday 22nd and Friday 24th  Children’s book author and Illustrator, Heath McKenzie, will deliver a presentation to Foundation to Grade 6 students on his writing experiences as well as sharing some story telling.

•        On Tuesday August 21st Ivanhoe Primary School will be participating in the Great Book Swap. This is a fundraising event for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Students are asked to bring a book from home to be swapped with another book that catches their eye. A gold coin donation is to be brought on the day. All money raised goes to Indigenous students living in remote communities.

•        On Friday August 24th Students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character.  There will also be a special Book Week lunch order available from the canteen.
