Canteen
The school canteen operates five days a week with lunch orders available on each day. There are counter sales each morning recess.
Roster
A manager oversees the daily running of the canteen including maintaining a roster of volunteer parents. The canteen strives to provide a high standard of service to students at the school promoting healthy eating, choice and value for money. Paramount to the operation of the canteen is the participation of parents as volunteer helpers in the canteen. Students greatly enjoy seeing family members working in the canteen. The participation of parents assists to keep the costs of running the canteen at a minimum enabling services offered by the canteen to continually improve. Parents are encouraged to nominate for canteen duty at least once during the year. Nominations can be directed to the Canteen Manager – check the weekly school newsletter for further information. The active involvement of parents in the canteen is strongly encouraged.
Menu
The canteen menu reflects healthy eating guidelines. The menu is altered during the year to reflect seasonal factors, to provide variety to students and to be responsive to student, parent and departmental requirements. The canteen operations are governed by a Committee of representatives of staff and parents. For further information refer to Curriculum - Healthy Eating Program.
